XLGL Free Form Layout

XLGL Free Form layout are a flexible reporting tool that allow you to bring data from Sage 50 and organized its display in one step. Fields and record are no longer limited to a tabular format, the report can flow vertically or horizontally. Note that freeform layout are much slower than tables and should be reserved from small dataset.

To create a new XLGL Free Form layout:

1. Click the XLGL ribbon tab, then click "New Free Form". A panel opens on the left-hand side of the window.
2. Click the cell where you want your report to start.
3. Select the data type from the list or select Custom Query to start from scratch.
4. Notice that there are additional options for the free form creation in the "XLGL Layout" ribbon shown at the top of the window
5. Click Apply
6. Depending on your selection, your free form layout will either be created or you will be presented with the Query designer.

Note that the result will look like a table without the headers. Use the first row as the template you can modify. Insert rows below it to make it bigger. Move fields around as needed, format and use formula anywhere within the template area.
